Implants

Implants are synthetic  biocompatible structures look and feel like a natural tooth that are placed in the bone in the area where normally the root of the tooth lies, Implants act as a foundation for  an artificial tooth, a bridge or to support a complete or partial denture.  Implants are placed by a surgery performed by the dentist or sometimes referred to the specialist under local anesthesia in the comfort of the dental office.  Following the placement of implant, a period is required for the implant to take hold in the bone and anchor it.  Antibiotics may be prescribed sometimes to prevent an infection.
